We are thrilled to welcome award-winning author Jasmine Warga to the Westport elementary schools this October!

Jasmine  will be visiting Westport schools from October 15-17, 2025.

Jasmine Warga is the #1 New York Times-bestselling author of middle grade novels Other Words For Home, The Shape of Thunder, A Rover’s Story, and A Strange Thing Happened in Cherry Hall. Her books have won numerous awards, including a Newbery Honor, been named to many state award reading lists, and listed as best books of the year by publications such as NPR, The Washington Post, Publishers Weekly and others. Her next novel, The Unlikely Tale of Chase and Finnegan, will be published on March 3, 2026. Originally from Cincinnati, she now lives in the Chicago-area with her family in a house filled with books. ​

Ahead of this event, you have the unique opportunity to order personalized copies of Jasmine Warga’s books. As you shop for her books, please follow these steps:

1. Select the title you'd like to purchase,  complete the requested details (School: Grade: Teacher from the drop down menu and fill in the Student's Name field), and then hit the "Add to Cart" button.   A blue dot will appear next to the cart with the quantity once it has been successfully added.
2. Once you enter your payment information (either through PayPal or credit card), the site will reroute you back to the checkout page, and you will need to push "next" once more to get to the final "place order" button.
3. You should receive a confirmation email for the transaction.  If you do not receive this, it may mean that your order did not go through.  Please reach out to us at [email protected] for assistance.
4. Please disregard any reference to "in-store pickup".  All books ordered by October 6th will be distributed to students at the school the day of Ms. Warga's visit, except for the pre-order book, which will be delivered to students in March of 2026 (with a bookplate with her signature).​
