We are so excited that the PS29 Book Fair is back from January 26-30, 2026! The Book Fair, put on in partnership with the beloved community organization Fork & Pencil, will offer a great selection of books, and 30% of the proceeds will go to PS29. We hope you'll take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to support a love of literacy and reading, and to support PS 29.
Each classroom will have a visit to the Book Fair during the week of the event. The Book Fair will also be open before school Tuesday through Friday that week starting at 8 a.m. and after school on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:50-5 p.m. and Friday from 2:50-4 p.m. so that parents/caregivers can shop for books with their children. If your child plans on shopping at the Book Fair with their class, please send cash in an envelope with their name on it to their classroom teacher by Friday, January 23rd. In addition, we are pleased to again be supporting the literacy efforts of PS 15 in Red Hook. Please consider supporting them through the donation of a gift card (see link below). Fork + Pencil is working with the librarian at PS15 to make sure they receive the titles that meet their students' needs. We would welcome your support through a donation to your child's class to purchase books for the classroom or perhaps by giving directly to the PS29 PTA. |
